Yesterday evening we received the tragic news that David's sister Eileen has been diagnosed with leukemia. In 3 days time she will enter the hospital for a 4 to 6 week stay to begin an aggressive chemotherapy treatment. Needless to say the family is devasted by the news. Your thoughts and prayers would be tremendously appreciated. Thanks.
I'm so sorry to hear this news. I will keep Eileen and all of you in my thoughts and prayers for strength and healing during this time.

ReplyDeleteBen, I was thinking, do you think Eileen would mind if we sent her some cards to help boost her mood and let her know that there are people out there thinking of her? If so, please give my an address and I will forward her a card, even it if is through you.
ReplyDeleteRonda, that's a wonderful idea and I have been considering. I know that for her hospital stay she will be kept in a sterile environment so I don't know if cards & gifts will be accepted. I will be finding out though. Thank you for such a wonderful thought. I will let you know what I find out. - Ben
